A LITTLE ABOUT tomi:
We rescued Tomi alongside his siblings in April. All of them have been adopted while Tomi has remained at the rescue. After extended periods of time at the shelter dogs progressively get more & more stressed and this typically results in reactiveness & can lead to aggression. Unfortunately, Tomi is telling us that he really needs to be in a stable environment with human love & affection. We are urgently seeking an adopter for this sweet boy OR an immediate long-term foster.
Outside of the rescue he does well with older, kind dogs, he prefers to not interact with puppies (most likely a result of shelter life, possibly something that can be reversed with training), so it is important that he is always on a leash until his manners are trained and he’s more emotionally stable around all types of dogs. He is a great leash walker and is extremely loving with adults & kids, he’s affectionate, cuddly & very very smart. He learns very quickly!
Tomi would thrive in a family that is active, outdoorsy and loves to adventure. He could also be a fantastic dog for a ranch or property. He is active outside, yet calm inside the house. The perfect mix!
