If you have considered adoption and are ready to bring home a furry friend, please start by filling out our adoption application here. You can also view our available dogs to see if any pup catches your interest. We do our best to match dogs with their appropriate applicants, but we cannot guarantee requests until adoptions are confirmed.
Once you have submitted your application, you will hear from one of our team members who will follow-up with questions and require a non-refundable deposit of $50 USD or $75 CAD to reserve your pup!
Adoptions in America or Canada
For those already in Mexico traveling back to the U.S. or Canada - unless small breed, dogs can only travel on Alaska airlines to the U.S. or Westjet to Canada in the hold. For this reason we mostly can only get dogs to the western region of the U.S. and Canada. It is possible to get them elsewhere once they have entered either country, but directly from Baja they can only travel on these two airlines. Contact our team and we will tell you everything you need to bring your new family member back home!
If you are not in Mexico - we can still get a pup to you if you live in the western region of the U.S. or Canada! Once you fill out the application form and it is approved, if needed we will begin searching for a flight angel. It typically takes anywhere from 1-3 weeks to find someone traveling that is willing to take a pup up if you are located in states like California, Washington, Oregon, or in B.C. Canada. Unfortunately out of these regions it is very difficult to find flight angels/airlines that allow dogs in cargo. We have gotten dogs to other regions of the U.S. and Canada but it does take some extra steps.
Adoption Fee:
$250USD or 5,000 pesos (depending on exchange) which helps to pay us back for food and medical bills we have paid. We have a discounted adoption fee for Mexican citizens, please contact us if this applies to you.
In addition to the adoption fee, there are also transport costs if they are flying out of Mexico. For transport to Canada, the cost is $250USD (flight, kennel, and paperwork). For transport to the U.S., the cost is $350USD (flight, kennel, and paperwork).
