A LITTLE ABOUT LADY at the rescue:
Lady was rescued back in January with her eight siblings, and while all of her siblings were adopted within six months, one year later she is still waiting for her happily ever after.
A few months ago we noticed she was having trouble getting up after sitting down. After some x-rays we learned that Lady has early hip dysplasia and arthritis in both hips. Combined with some dog-reactivity issues, it’s made finding her the home she deserves and has been longing for nearly impossible.
We have raised all of the funds needed for Lady’s surgery but we are still desperate to find her the loving home that she wants so badly. Lady has spent some time with fosters who have all had nothing but incredible things to say about her— Lady is fully potty trained and very communicative, she always lets you know when she needs to go out. She doesn’t destroy things and spends most of the day lounging around. She loves her two walks a day but other than that is just happy to have a comfy place to sleep.
Lady is great with older kids (sometimes can play a little too rough for toddlers) and would be an amazing family dog or great for an individual. She does experience dog reactivity though we are confident that with training this can greatly improve. She typically loves smaller submissive dogs/puppies and the dogs she is good with, she is amazing with.
We think Lady would do best as the only dog in the home for now, but if you would like to have another dog and brought in a puppy to be raised alongside her, that would be the most ideal situation!
Lady is extremely affectionate and also so goofy. She keeps all of us laughing and so entertained at the rescue. We are desperate to find her the loving home she deserves. Could it be you? Feel free to reach out to ask more questions to see if she would be a good fit!
